North Andover Complete Streets Prioritization Plan

In October 2021, the Town began working with TEC, Inc to identify possible street improvements that could improve safety and accessibility across all modes of transportation. This effort is a part of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Complete Streets Funding Program, which provides support for street planning and funding for constructing street improvements.
TEC, Inc sought input from Town staff and the public, as well as doing field investigations of street conditions. The resulting Complete Streets Prioritization Plan details 40 high priority street improvement projects that are eligible for Complete Streets construction funding. Learn more about these projects through this interactive StoryMap: https://arcg.is/11HSzS0
Next, the Town will be applying for a construction grant in May to fund safety improvements at the intersections of Sutton Street, High Street, and Chadwick Street.
The Town has also been working on a Sidewalk Connectivity Plan, stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Utility Help is Available

The winter moratorium on utility shut-offs ended on April 1st.  Here's what you can do if you are behind on your bills:

  • Call your utility company and ask about payment plans, payment assistance programs, and forgiveness plans. As long as you're making scheduled payments, you're protected from shutoffs.
  • Apply for heating assistance. If your household income is 60% or less of the state median income, you're eligible for LIHEAP and can find out how to apply at mass.gov/hed/fuel.

For more information, visit mass.gov/ago/fuelassistance.
