Mulch Fire Safety Information from @NorthAndoverFD

Earlier this afternoon, the NAFD responded to a small mulch fire outside of a home on Middlesex St. Due to the proximity of the mulch to the house, were it not for the quick work of a bystander with a garden hose, the mulch fire could have extended to the home and caused a serious fire. The NAFD wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone to keep mulch at least 18 inches away from the combustible exteriors of homes.  Please visit https://www.mass.gov/service-details/mulch-fire-safety for more information regarding mulch safety.
