Tune in as The Commission on Ability Assistance hosts North Andover Town Clerk, Joyce Bradshaw, as their first guest on their new television program, “Ability Assistance.” The program is approximately a half hour long and will be on @NorthAndoverCam.
The focus of “Ability Assistance” is to highlight services and support groups in North Andover and introduce non-profit organizations that serve those needing extra assistance. Reading to a child is one of the most powerful ways to boost their skills. Join @StevensMemLib for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten reading incentive program for children ages birth to 5 years.
Visit the Children’s Room to get more information about 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and to meet the librarians. If you read just 3 books a day you will reach the 1,000 books goal in one year! The simple and enjoyable act of sharing books helps a child learn pre-reading skills such as understanding the sounds letters make, developing a bigger vocabulary, and building background knowledge — all important skills that help prepare a child for learning to read and entering kindergarten. Children get to place a sticker on the wall for every 100 books read… and who knows? Maybe Clover the bunny will make a special appearance to say congratulations.
Great news! @Town_Mgr_Maylor shared that the playground tables have been installed and the Drummond Project is now complete!
The playground closed on May 2nd to undergo renovations and has been extremely popular since it's Grand Re-Opening on June 16th. Have you checked it out yet?

Happening tonight at 7pm at @StevensMemLib, join us for a slide presentation of photographer Ansel Adams and his long career starting at age 12. Find out about his work with the Sierra Club, The National Park Service, and his work in the environmental movement of the 1960s.
The presenter, Lance Hidy knew Ansel Adams personally and has designed several books featuring his photography. This is a free event and all are welcome. Thank you to the Friends of the Library and the Northern Essex Community College Speakers’ Bureau for sponsoring this event.
