Did you know there was a floating loon nest placed on Lake Cochichewick in May 2018?

This floating loon nest is intended to promote successful reproduction for the loon pair that have been sighted around the lake the last several years.  This was an initiative proposed by the lake's harbormaster, Peter Boynton, and discussed with the Lake Study Committee.   These photos of the loon were taken last week while the water treatment plant was out on the boat doing some routine monitoring.
