Tune in as The Commission on Ability Assistance hosts North Andover Town Clerk, Joyce Bradshaw, as their first guest on their new television program, “Ability Assistance.” The program is approximately a half hour long and will be on @NorthAndoverCam.

The focus of “Ability Assistance” is to highlight services and support groups in North Andover and introduce non-profit organizations that serve those needing extra assistance.  Joyce will be discussing the services the Town offers to assist residents conducting their business with the Town.  Be sure to subscribe to North Andover Cam on YouTube so you don't miss it!

The Jazz Disciples are an eight-piece band providing the full compliment of dixieland, American songbook, big band/swing, gospel and popular jazz styles.  Can't make it this week?  The Sunday Night Concert Series runs every Sunday, July 8-August 26 at 6:00 PM on the North Andover Town Common… with a bonus concert September 9 at 5 PM!

Reading to a child is one of the most powerful ways to boost their skills. Join @StevensMemLib for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten reading incentive program for children ages birth to 5 years.

Visit the Children’s Room to get more information about 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and to meet the librarians.  If you read just 3 books a day you will reach the 1,000 books goal in one year!  The simple and enjoyable act of sharing books helps a child learn pre-reading skills such as understanding the sounds letters make, developing a bigger vocabulary, and building background knowledge — all important skills that help prepare a child for learning to read and entering kindergarten.  Children get to place a sticker on the wall for every 100 books read… and who knows?  Maybe Clover the bunny will make a special appearance to say congratulations.
