As you may already be aware, the following roads are part of the Annual Roads and Sidewalk Restoration Program and are scheduled for paving work, weather permitting, beginning July 8th:
Salem Street: Leanne Drive to Johnson Street Johnson Street: Salem Street to Andover Street Andover Street: Johnson Street to Dufton Court
This work is scheduled to take place OVERNIGHT. Expected work hours are from 7:30 PM to 5:30 AM
Traffic delays, detours and raised castings should be expected if travelling within these areas. A town representative will be on site during construction. We appreciate your understanding. For any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the engineering department. Thank you.

“Soon he was back to Korea. By late January 1951, Judge’s division was part of a counteroffensive against the Chinese troops who began pushing the United Nations’ forces southward months earlier. Meanwhile, in Lawrence on Valentines Day 1950, Judge’s mother was preparing cookies and chocolates to send to her son when she received a knock on the door with news that her son was missing. It would be another month before the Army would announce that Judge was killed on January 30, 1951.”
Our trash contractor is continuing to do their best to collect in this extreme heat and has brought in additional staff. They hope to finalize all routes by the end of the day. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as they work to complete all collections.
Governor Healey announced today that parking will be free at all paid parking facilities at the Department of Conservation and Recreation properties statewide in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Parking will be free from tomorrow, July 3 through Sunday July 5.
 DCR staff will be posting temporary signs at each paid parking location notifying visitors that parking is free between July 3 and 5. DCR will implement the waiver across its paid parking system, including the Yodel app, pay stations and field staff parking operations. 
 Please note, parking remains first come, first served. High-demand locations may still close when parking lots reach capacity. Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead by visiting the DCR Park Alerts webpage for the most up-to-date information on facility closures.

The evening is going to include:
*A dine to donate from 3-9PM. 10% of food sales from the night goes directly to Homes for Our Troops
*4-8: Collection of non perishables and toiletries to be distributed to local Veterans. If anyone collects these items at your business, let me know and I will be happy to pick them up!
*6-8PM: Dinner with characters! Woody from Toy Story, a Minion, Joey from Launch, and Andy

Need a place to cool down? Stevens Memorial Library will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.. Â
Town Hall is open at 8am if you need a cool place prior to 10am.
