Governor Healey announced today that parking will be free at all paid parking facilities at the Department of Conservation and Recreation properties statewide in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Parking will be free from tomorrow, July 3 through Sunday July 5.
DCR staff will be posting temporary signs at each paid parking location notifying visitors that parking is free between July 3 and 5. DCR will implement the waiver across its paid parking system, including the Yodel app, pay stations and field staff parking operations.
Please note, parking remains first come, first served. High-demand locations may still close when parking lots reach capacity. Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead by visiting the DCR Park Alerts webpage for the most up-to-date information on facility closures.
Just in time for Independence Day! Here is the video of our June 12, 1776 event detailing the “Andover Resolve” and our town’s pivotal influence on the Declaration. In this act of rebellion with the Crown, our forebears pledged “their lives and fortunes to the measure” and helped turn the spark of a revolution into a conflagration in support of liberty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPeMa7zCobQ
