The North Andover Police Department will be hosting the National Drug Take Back on April 27, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Dispose of your expired, unused, or unwanted medication at the North Andover Police Department, 1475 Osgood Street
Home Modification Loan Program (HMLP) is a state-funded loan program that provides financing to homeowners and small landlords for accessibility renovations to keep a household member with a disability or an older adult in their own home and community. This is not a home repair program. Projects funded by HMLP include ramps and lifts, bathroom and kitchen adaptions, sensory integration spaces, fencing, as well as accessory dwelling units. *ANNUAL ROAD & SIDEWALK RESTORATION PROGRAM
As part of the Annual Road & Sidewalk Restoration Program, work will begin on High Street from Water Street to Sutton Street in the coming weeks with additional roads to follow:
The Town's contractor, D&R, will begin sidewalk layouts and construction the week of April 15th with sloped granite curbing and new asphalt sidewalk to be installed from Prescott Street to Sutton Street. Milling of the roadway is expected shortly after, followed by casting adjustments and then finish paving after that (weather permitting). Raised castings and traffic delays should be anticipated for anyone traveling in the area.
*COMPLETE STREETS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
As part of the Complete Streets Improvement Project, the town’s contractor, Tasco Construction will begin work at the Sutton Street at High Street intersection. A street layout is expected to begin Tuesday, April 16th with construction expected to begin shortly after. A representative of the town engineering department will be on site to help answer any questions. Raised castings and traffic delays should be anticipated for anyone traveling in the area.
*MIFFLIN DRIVE – GAS EMERGENCY IMPACT AREA
The Department of Public Works (DPW), with the help of the Town’s contractor, is looking to upgrade Mifflin Drive’s road surface and add new sidewalk with vertical granite curb extending from Massachusetts Avenue to Middlesex Road.
The DPW will be conducting a meeting on Tuesday, April 16th to discuss the redesign with a meeting point at the following time and location:
· 5:00 pm – corner of Mifflin Drive and Middlesex Street
Department engineers will meet individually with abutters along the way to discuss any specific questions and concerns for locations throughout the neighborhood. If you are unable to attend this meeting or have other concerns, please contact the DPW to schedule an individual appointment or phone call with you.
