The Town's contractor – D&R Paving will begin roadway construction including milling, castings adjustment, and repaving next Wednesday October 4, 2023.  Milling will begin on Essex Street starting at the Boxford Town Line and then continuing on Great Pond Road from Essex Street to Marbleridge Road and then moving to Chestnut Street from Blueberry Hill Lane to Wood Lea.  Milling is expected to take 3-4 days to complete followed by one week for casting adjustments and then finish paving after that (weather permitting). The contractor has been asked to keep at least 1 lane of traffic open during construction, but at times, due to roadway curvature or temperature concerns with finish paving, sections of road may need to be closed in both directions for short periods of time.  The contractor is going to work with the NAPD to determine if the need for any closures are required.  Delays should be anticipated for anyone traveling in these areas.
