Thank you to all the volunteers, North Andover DPW, the Conservation and Planning Departments, Water Treatment Plant, and the Harbormaster for helping clean up around Lake Cochichewick on October 16, 2021. Thank you to Edgewood Retirement Community, Brooks School, and Rolling Ridge along with their volunteers from Free Christian Church for participating in the clean up along their shorelines. Last, but not least, thank you to Smolak Farms for the delicious apples and apple cider donuts.
The annual Lake Cochichewick clean up event demonstrates the power and impact of volunteer work in our community. Volunteers picked up nearly a half of a ton of trash (980 lbs) from around the lake that morning. This event sets a wonderful example. It shows the difference that our actions can make in both our community as well as the natural environment around us.
Thanks, once again, to all participants for making a positive impact in North Andover and protecting your pristine drinking water source. We look forward to next year’s clean up!
