Annual Roads and Sidewalk Restoration Program Update

Public works would like to send out this clarification – Sections of the following roadways are scheduled for roadwork, weather permitting, to begin the week of September 28th in the anticipated order of:
  • Summer Street: Salem Street to Farnum Street
  • Marbleridge Road: Salem Street to Johnson Street
  • Rea Street: Johnson Street to Chestnut Street
The restoration of the entire length of these roadways will need to be worked into the roadway restoration CIP over the next couple of years. For any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the engineering department. Thank you.

As you may already be aware, the following roads are part of the Annual Roads and Sidewalk Restoration Program and are scheduled for roadwork, weather permitting, to begin the week of September 28th in the anticipated order of:

  • Summer Street: Salem Street to Farnum Street
  • Marbleridge Road: Salem Street to Johnson Street
  • Rea Street: Johnson Street to Chestnut Street

Traffic delays, detours and raised castings should be expected if travelling within these areas. A town representative will be on site during construction. We appreciate your understanding and patience. For any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the engineering department. Thank you.

Conversations That Save Lives: Addiction Awareness – September 22 from 7:30–8:30 p.m.

On September 22 from 7:30–8:30 p.m., we will host a free community event, “Conversations That Save Lives: Addiction Awareness,” at the North Andover High School Auditorium.

The event will follow a presentation by our keynote speaker, Anthony Sideri, to North Andover High School students. Anthony, a North Andover resident, will share his personal story of substance use, recovery, and his journey to sobriety.

The community presentation will provide parents, families, and community members an opportunity to hear Anthony’s story, learn more about addiction and recovery, and connect with local resources and support. Our goal is to encourage meaningful conversations about addiction, prevention, recovery, and the resources available to individuals and families in our community.

Representatives from the Police and Fire Departments, along with other guest speakers and community organizations, will be present. Community resources will also be available at informational tables throughout the evening.

The program will include a Q&A session, providing attendees with an opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the speakers. For those who may prefer a more private conversation, representatives will also be available throughout the event to answer questions and provide resources individually.
