Annual Roads and Sidewalk Restoration Program

As you may already be aware, the following roads are part of the annual roads and sidewalk restoration program and are scheduled for paving work, weather permitting, starting the week of Monday, October 6th in the order of:

  • Pond Street: Town Line to Bradford Street
  • Great Pond Road: Bradford Street to Osgood Street
  • Great Pond Road: 1116 Great Pond Road to Essex Street
  • Morningside Lane: Russett Lane to Winter Street
  • Ferncroft Circle: South Bradford Street to Cul-de-sac
  • Bridle Path: Great Pond Road to Cul-de-sac
  • Great Pond Road: Marbleridge Road to Fox Hill Road
  • Gray Street: Boston Street to Town Line

Work on Pond Street is scheduled to be an early start to accommodate safety and high traffic volume at the intersection of Great Pond Road and Bradford Street.

Traffic delays, detours and raised castings should be expected if travelling within these areas. A town representative will be on site during construction. We appreciate your understanding. For any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the engineering department. Thank you.

Help us promote the Opioid Settlement Survey

We need everyone’s help! Please take this survey and promote it far and wide. Every resident will also be receiving a postcard in the next week about the survey with background on opioids and resources.

Take A Brief Survey and Help Shape How Our Opioid Settlement Funds Are Spent:

The Town of North Andover is receiving money from companies involved in the opioid crisis to support prevention, treatment, and recovery. Even if you haven’t been directly impacted, YOUR INPUT MATTERS – friends, family, and neighbors have. Click here to take this quick survey by November 1st. Beirut Remembrance Day Oct 23rd

The Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon were bombed 42 years ago today. 241 members of the United States Armed Forces – 220 Marines, 18 Navy Sailors, 3 Army Soldiers – along with 58 French Peacekeepers & 3 civilians died. 9 of those lost were from Massachusetts, 1 was from North Andover.
North Andover’s own Cpl. Sean Gallagher was among those killed on October 23, 1983. He was one week shy of his 21st birthday. Please join us as we remember Cpl. Sean Gallagher and the others lost on this day. We honor their sacrifice and that of their families.
