Gas Restoration Contract Areas 3-4-5 Construction Update: Woodbridge Road

Starting next week July 22, 2024, the Town’s contractor PJ Albert will be starting with the gas restoration activities on Woodbridge Road in the Contract 3-4-5 areas.  Work will include the reclamation of the roadway surface, regrading of the roadway subgrade, adjustment of the castings, and installation of asphalt binder.

With this construction work, raised castings and traffic delays should be expected. Paving of the road will follow, weather permitting. If you have any questions, a representative from the town will be on site during construction.

We appreciate your understanding during construction. Residents should expect delays if travelling in this area. For any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the engineering department.

VA log in

MESSAGE FROM THE VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION

July 17, 2024

VA begins transition to sign-in experience for Veterans

Today, VA will announce the start of our transition to a simpler and more modern online sign-in experience for Veterans and other beneficiaries who access VA online services.

In 2025, VA will transition from four online sign-in account options (Login.govID.me, My HealtheVet, and DS Logon) to two sign-in account options: Login.gov and ID.me accounts. Veterans will be able to use either of these two options to sign in to VA.gov, VA mobile applications, or other VA online services.

Veterans and other beneficiaries will no longer be able to use usernames and passwords for My HealtheVet after Jan. 31, 2025, or DS Logon after Sept. 30, 2025. After these deadlines, Veterans who have not yet transitioned will still be able to access their data and resume managing their benefits and services online once they have created their new account.

This transition helps us meet Veterans’ requests for a simpler sign-in experience while continuing to improve our security standards, comply with federal policies, and ensure Veteran data and identity protection.

We know this transition will be difficult for some Veterans. The Office of Information and Technology (OIT) is committed to providing consistent outreach and support. Training and resources will be provided to help VA staff and Veterans Service Organizations support Veterans in selecting the account and multifactor authentication option that best suits their needs and preferences. OIT is dedicated to making sure that all Veterans, including those using assistive devices (like screen readers), have the support they need to successfully make this transition.

Have questions about this change or want to share your feedback?

Go to the internal webpage for VA staff

Want to share the latest information about this transition with Veterans?

Go to www.va.gov/sign-in-changes

OIT will continue to add more downloadable resources to these sites in the coming weeks. OIT representatives will also be providing ongoing opportunities for learning, support, and listening sessions with staff and Veterans.

We thank all of you for your work to support Veterans through this transition and for your partnership in protecting Veterans’ identities and personal information.
