Roadway Construction Notification: Essex Street, Great Pond Road, and Chestnut Street, Week of October 16, 2023

As part of the Town’s annual road and sidewalk restoration program, the town's contractor, D&R Paving, will be starting paving work on Monday, October 16th. The schedule for paving is as follows:

 

· Day 1 (Monday): Essex Street @ Town Border to approx. 808 Great Pond Road

· Day 2 (Tuesday): Approx. 808 Great Pond Road to Country Club Circle

· Day 3 (Wednesday): Country Club Circle and the remainder of Great Pond Road

· Day 4 (Friday): Chestnut Street from Blueberry Hill Lane to Woodlea Road

 

Work is anticipated to begin at 9:00 am, weather permitting. Delays and road closures should be anticipated if travelling in these areas.  Attached are the proposed detour maps if traveling in this area.

Roadway Construction Notification: Columbia Gas Impact Contract 3 Area, Starting Monday, October 16, 2023

As part of the Columbia Gas Impact Area restoration program, the town's contractor, PJ Albert, will be starting paving work on Monday, October 16th in the Contract 3 area. The anticipated schedule for paving is as follows:

 

· Day 1 (Monday): Norman Road, Cabot Street, Saltonstall Road, Chapin Road, and Buckingham Road (Middlesex to Herrick)

· Day 2 (Tuesday): Young Road, Herrick Road and Waverly Road & Mass Ave Intersection

· Day 3 (Wednesday): Buckingham Road, Edmands Road, and Silsbee Road

 

Work is anticipated to begin at 7:00 am, weather permitting. Delays and road closures should be anticipated if travelling in these areas.

Monday, 10/16 @ 6:30PM Teen Book Chat Our monthly teen book chats are the perfect place to meet with fellow book-lovers. Eat some pizza and chat about books! This month we will be discussing Blood Debts by Terry J. Benton-Walker.  This program is for students in grades 6-12. 

Tuesday, 10/17 Delayed Opening – We will be closed from 10am – 2pm for a staff meeting and town employee event. We will be open from 2pm – 9pm. Our E-Library is alway open, visit us online!
Tuesday, 10/17 @ 7PM Tuesday Evening Book Discussion Join us every Third Tuesday for a book discussion. This month we are reading The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab.

Town Hall will be closed on Friday, November 10, 2023 in observance of Veterans Day, but the Town Clerk's Office will remain open from 8am-5pm to collect nomination papers.
