In June 2021, the North Andover Select Board adopted a Complete Streets Policy, supporting safe and accessible street design for all modes of transportation. The Town has since contracted with TEC, Inc. to develop a Complete Streets Prioritization Plan. To develop this plan, the Town needs public input on which street improvements should be prioritized to accommodate pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular traffic.
An in-person public meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the North Andover Senior Center behind Town Hall. Masks are required for this event. The public is welcome to RSVP to receive reminders and more information, but this is not mandatory. RSVP here: https://forms.gle/pJUhgbTyH6xK6Tz78
This event will include a brief presentation on how the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Complete Streets Funding Program works. The presentation will be followed by public input activities to identify problem areas on streets around town and devise solutions to be included in the Complete Streets Prioritization Plan. The public’s input makes a difference because the completed Prioritization Plan will make the Town eligible for funding to build the street improvements being proposed.
