Creating Calmness in Uncertain Times

The American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces division is offering opportunities for our military community to connect and talk about reactions and stress associated with the Afghanistan withdrawal.

These free virtual workshops will provide attendees an opportunity to connect with one another as well as learn stress management techniques. Discussions are facilitated by licensed mental health professionals with either personal or professional experience with the military.

New Adult Evening Programs Beginning in September

With state funding, Career Technical Initiative (CTI) will be providing 6 courses during Fall 2021 in the Merrimack Valley region.

MassHire is holding virtual Information sessions for individuals interested in these training programs every Monday at 1 PM and Thursday at 9 AM until the classes are filled. To register for an Information Session, people need to call their main number at 978-722-7000.

Greater Lawrence Technical School will offer Welding, Plumbing, and Automotive Technology. Courses at Whittier Vocational Technical School will include Advanced Manufacturing, Welding, and Marine Technology. These are evening programs which will run from 4 – 8 PM, Monday through Thursday, beginning September 20th and ending in December. To be eligible people need to be a resident of Massachusetts, eligible to work in the U.S., unemployed or underemployed, have a high school credential, and be at least 18 years of age.
