The Board of Selectmen is seeking a volunteers interested in serving on the Neighborhood Conservation District Committee for the Machine Shop Village

The Board of Selectmen is looking for volunteers to serve on the Neighborhood Conservation District Committee for the Machine Shop Village. Information regarding the Machine Shop Village District and the Commission can be found in the Town Bylaws, Chapter 125.

 

Applicants should have an interest in history, our town, and stewarding a historic neighborhood through change, and an ability to commit to at least 8 of 12 potential meetings on an annual basis. Skills and experience in history, architecture, construction and real estate a plus but not required.

Don’t miss out! The application deadline for the Veterans Housing Lottery in Haverhill is today (8/3/2020) at 5:00PM. Open to all Massachusetts Veterans!

Today is the last day that applications are being accepted into a veterans housing lottery for one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in downtown Haverhill (181 Washington St.). You do NOT have to be on Chapter 115 to be eligible.  
70% of units will have Veteran preference, and selection will be by lottery.  The deadline to be entered into the lottery is August 3, 2020 at 5:00 pm.  Applications must be returned by mail to:  PO BOX 511, Haverhill, MA  01831 and postmarked by this date and time.  This is open to all Commonwealth veterans, the criteria are not limited to chapter 115 or disabled veterans.  As long as you are a veteran in need of housing, we encourage you to apply!

Lottery to be held at Veterans Northeast Outreach Center at 10 Reed Street in Haverhill on August 11,2020 at 11:00am.
