2019 Water Quality Report

North Andover Water is proud to present our annual water quality report to our residents. This report covers many topics of interest along with the results of tests performed from January 1 to December 31, 2019.

We are dedicated to producing drinking water that meets and surpasses all state and federal standards. It is always our utmost importance that we are delivering the highest quality drinking water to you. As new challenges to drinking water safety emerge, we remain vigilant in meeting the goals of source water protection, water conservation, and community education while continuing to serve the needs of all our water users. In our efforts to become more sustainable, this and all future water will be available on the town’s website for review. A paper copy will be sent to anyone requesting one. Are you facing housing instability? RAFT may be able to help.

 

Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) can help pay for up to $4,000 of eligible housing expenses for households with low to moderate income who:

  • Have experienced a loss of income and cannot pay rent or mortgage
  • Are behind on rent or mortgage
  • Are behind on utility payments
  • Are homeless or at risk and need financial assistance to be rehoused

 RAFT covers a variety of situations. A housing case manager is the best person to help you figure out if you are eligible for RAFT or any other housing programs. Board of Assessors Vacancy: The Town Manager is seeking a volunteer interested in serving on the Board of Assessors

The Town Manager is seeking a volunteer interested in serving on the Board of Assessors. The Board of Assessors was created by Town Charter pursuant to Massachusetts General Law Chapter 41, Sections 24-26. Each member must complete a training program conducted by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue and become certified, within six months of appointment.

The Board of Assessors is responsible for the valuation of all real estate and personal property in the town; hears related appeals along with motor vehicle excise; responsible for awarding property tax exemptions provided by statute.

The Committee is responsible for conducting its activities in a manner in which is in compliance with all relevant state and local laws and regulations including, but not limited to the open meeting law, ethics laws and public records law.

Participation Guide for North Andover Town Meeting

Annual Town Meeting is today, June 16, 2020, at 5:00 PM.  The meeting will be held on the football field of the Joe Walsh Stadium at North Andover High School.  Please read the updated protocols here.

 

Check-in will begin at 4:00PM. Voters and attendees will line up at each entry point. Family members and others sharing the same household will be allowed to stand and sit together. The line to check-in will be managed by the Emergency Management Department in order to ensure sufficient physical distancing per ground markings.

 
Please Note:  No large display visual screens will be available at the meeting. WiFi and Cell service will be available to allow all to follow presentations and conduct of the meeting on a live feed.  All devices must be put in silent mode or utilize earphones so as not to disturb other attendees.  Click the button below for the Annual Town Meeting, June 16, 2020 Participation Guide.

The North Andover food bank will be accepting donations of canned or boxed staples.  There will be a donation drop-off location at each check-in entrance point for those interested in participating. 
 
The meeting will be broadcast on North Andover GovCam (Verizon – 26/Xfinity – 8) and live streamed on link.northandoverma.gov/govcam for those who cannot attend.  You can submit questions remotely by clicking here or texting (978) 620-5450.

MVRTA 2020 Comprehensive Regional Transit Plan Survey

Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority (MVRTA) needs your feedback!

Public survey released as part of 5-Year Comprehensive Regional Transit Plan (CRTP) Update

The MVRTA is currently updating the 5-year Comprehensive Regional Transit Plan (CRTP) and is seeking input from the public. Comments and input from both existing riders and those who do not use the service are vital in this process. As a public transit authority, the MVRTA is dedicated to ensuring service is provided to everyone in a safe and efficient manner.
 
To gain a better understanding of the current and future transportation needs of the Merrimack Valley, a mobile-friendly, public survey has been developed and posted on the MVRTA website and a link has been posted to the MVRTA Facebook and Twitter accounts. The survey is currently available in both English and Spanish. Additional translations can be made upon request to MVRTA.
 
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and day-to-day life changes, previously planned public outreach events have been cancelled. To better engage with the public, MVRTA has designed the survey like a game to capture a better understanding of who each person is and how their answers compare to others who have finished the survey.

Take the survey.  It takes 2 minutes.  It’s for everyone – transit riders and non-transit riders.

Final preparations underway for North Andover’s first ever outdoor Town Meeting tonight!

UPDATE: Today, SBA has reopened the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and EIDL Advance program portal to all eligible applicants experiencing economic impacts due to #COVID19.

SBA’s EIDL program offers long-term, low interest assistance for a small business or non-profit. These loans can provide vital economic support to help alleviate temporary loss of revenue. EIDL assistance can be used to cover payroll and inventory, pay debt or fund other expenses.

Additionally, the EIDL Advance will provide up to $10,000 ($1,000 per employee) of emergency economic relief to businesses that are currently experiencing temporary difficulties, and these emergency grants do not have to be repaid.
