ABSENTEE BALLOTS for the Tuesday, March 3rd Presidential Primary
ABSENTEE BALLOTS for the Tuesday, March 3 rd Presidential Primary are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office.
Election Laws require that Absentee Ballots be available to registered voters who meet one of the following three criteria:
1. Absentee from the town during hours the polls are open
2. Physical disability which would prevent voting at the polling place
3. Religious beliefs that would prevent participation on the day of the election.
An application for an absentee ballot must be completed and received by the Town Clerk’s office no later than NOON on the day before the election (Monday, March 2nd). Applications can be downloaded at http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleabsentee/absidx.htm. If you cannot download
the application, you can call the Town Clerk’s office to request an application to be mailed to you, or you can send a hand written note, with your signature to our office at 120 Main Street, North Andover, MA 01845.
Absentee ballots must be delivered through the US Mail to each requester, or they may be voted at the Town Clerk’s office during normal office hours. The Clerk’s office is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Tuesday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM – Noon. Please allow ample time for mailing the application and ballots, in order for them to be returned by you no later than the close of polls on March 3rd – 8:00 PM.
