Chief William McCarthy is pleased to announce that the North Andover Fire Department was awarded a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services in the amount of $7,181.00.  The grant will be used to purchase protective hoods and gloves for our firefighters.  The goal of Firefighter Turnout Gear Grant  is to improve firefighter health and safety by preventing and reducing exposure to cancer causing chemicals. Funding may be used to purchase hoods, gloves, helmets, eye shields, gloves, bunker coats, bunker pants/suspenders, and boots.
