As of November 1st of this year, the MassDEP waste ban will go into effect which will no longer allow Mattresses, Box Springs or Textiles to be collected under the Town’s curbside trash collection program.  These items will now need to be recycled separately.

Mattresses and Box Springs – If you have a mattress or box spring that you need to recycle, residents can contact the Town’s vendor, UTEC, by visiting https://utecinc.org/mattress-recycling/ and click on 'Schedule Service.'  Select 'North Andover' to schedule a curbside pickup from UTEC, or select 'Drop Off' to make an appointment to drop off at their Lawrence facility.   The fee for this service will be $40 per item.  Residents can also schedule a drop off appointment by calling UTEC at 978-856-3997.  Residents are free to use other private recycling options if they so choose.

Textiles/Clothing – Residents can drop off these items at the Sustainability Committee’s clothing box located at the Holt Road Transfer Station or there are other private drop off boxes located throughout the town.
