I'd love for you to pass this to your networks, and perhaps I will see you on Thursday. Fortunately, there are very few of our Lawrence military who died from friendly fire. Sadly, Girgenti was one such casualty about 6 weeks after the D-Day invasion in France”.

City Councilor Marc Laplante has organized a square re-dedication honoring Lawrence veteran PFC Joseph T Giles, USMC, KIA, Republic of Vietnam, October 7, 1966.
The date is April 23rd, location is SE corner of Salem & S. Union Sts. at 4:00pm. 
This is the family's sandwich shop location.
