2023 North Andover Santa Parade and Tree Lighting Festival

North Andover Santa Parade

The North Andover Santa Parade will be on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Noon.  The parade starts at the North Andover Middle School and travels down Main Street, turns onto Elm Street, Water Street, and back onto Main Street, ending at Sutton Street. 

Tree Lighting Festival

The North Andover Tree Lighting Festival will take place on Sunday, November 26, 2023 on the Common from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  There will be treats and entertainment.  The tree lighting will be at 5 PM. Bring the family and enjoy the festivities!

Prescribed Burn Notification (11/10-11/12)

Trustees staff, along with partners at Star Tree Wildfire Protection LLC, Massachusetts DCR Bureau of Forest Fire Control and Forestry, and North Andover Fire Department will conduct a prescribed fire at Weir Hill and Ward Reservation.

Weir Hill will be closed Friday evening into Saturday (11/10 – 11/11) and will be re-opened on Sunday (11/12).

Ward Reservation will be open but burn section near Boston Hill will be closed on Sunday (11/12).

A prescribed burn is the controlled application of fire to the land to accomplish specific conservation and land management goals. Weir Hill and Boston Hill at Ward have burned regularly for centuries, and the property’s woodlands and shrublands contain many rare species of plants and animals adapted to and dependent upon frequent fire. In applying prescribed fire, this partnership will reduce fuel loads and the risk of wildfire, provide training for firefighters, and perpetuate these rare natural communities and the associated biodiversity and rare species populations they support.

Holiday Reminders: Veterans Day 2023

  • There will be NO DELAY for Trash and Recycling on Friday, November 10, 2023.
  • Most Town Buildings and Departments will be Closed on Friday, November 10, 2023
    • The North Andover Town Clerk’s Office will be open 11/10/23 to collect nomination papers
  • Cyr Recycle Center will be closed on Saturday, November 11, 2023 in observance of Veteran’s Day
  • The community is invited to attend a parade and ceremony honoring our Veterans on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The parade steps off from the First and Main Plaza at 10:00am, the ceremony will immediately follow at Patriots Memorial Park.
