Holiday Guidance from North Andover Health Department

The Town of North Andover wishes everyone a happy holiday season, and asks that you remember to celebrate safely by following these ideas:

  • If you or a member of your household is sick or have any symptoms, please stay home.
  • Celebrate with those you live with. If you must visit non-household members, wear a mask and keep your distance.
  • Take a covid test before traveling to celebrate with friends or family. Home tests can be found at most local pharmacies, and many nearby communities have drive-through testing options.
  • Weather permitting, increase ventilation inside by opening windows and doors.
  • Frequently wash hands with soap and warm water, and make hand sanitizer available.

With cases rising across the State, it is strongly recommended that you get tested after attending any gatherings especially if symptoms present themselves. Testing locations can be found in the link below.

Updates and Information for Upcoming Vaccine Clinics (12/2 and 12/3)

As you may be aware, GLFHC is putting on two vaccination clinics this week.  Please note the following information and updates.
The first clinic is on Thursday (12/2) from 2-6pm at the North Andover High School. The second clinic is Friday (12/3) from 3-7pm at the North Andover Middle School Cafeteria.
All appointments are for individuals who have already registered. Unfortunately no additional appointments can be made at this time for either clinic, and no walk-in appointments will be taken at either clinic.
All patients who are registered will need to complete a consent form for this appointment (please click here).  This must be done even if a consent form was completed for a previous appointment
Please bring your vaccination card with you so that it can be updated at the clinic.
If you did not register for either clinic but would like to receive a vaccination at another time in the future, please visit https://glfhc.org/covid-19-vaccine-signup-form/ to register for an appointment with the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center.

Traveling for Thanksgiving or the upcoming holidays?

Happy Thanksgiving!  The upcoming holiday season will bring us the chance to spend time with our friends and families and as we look forward to the upcoming holiday gatherings, we hope that you take every precaution to keep your friends and families safe.  If you do not feel well or have any COVID or “cold like” symptoms, then stay home and get tested as soon as possible.

Over the last several weeks we have seen a steady increase in cases and as everyone spends more time inside, we anticipate that case numbers may continue to increase as people gather over Thanksgiving and the upcoming holiday season. This may result in higher numbers of COVID-19 cases in our schools and in the community as we return from these celebrations.

To mitigate the spread of COVID-19 we encourage everyone to take the following steps. Wash hands and wear masks where appropriate. Get vaccinated if you are eligible; vaccines are now available to anyone 5 years of age and older.  Vaccines are safe and effective.  Vaccinated individuals are less likely to catch and spread the virus and do not have to quarantine if exposed to a positive case.

We hope you stay safe and healthy Thanksgiving and enjoy the festivities of the upcoming holiday season.
