Reminder: Small Business Grant Applications Due April 4th

Dear Small Business Owners,

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts recently made $75,000,000 available to support small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds are being administered through two different grant programs, the “New Applicant Grant Program” and the “Inclusive Grant Program.”

Click here for a page that will guide you through the similarities and differences between the two programs and help you determine which program your business should apply to.  Applications are due by April 4th.

Vaccination Clinic March 4th from 2:30-5:30pm

Vaccination Clinic March 4th from 2:30-5:30pm

The North Andover Health Department, in partnership with the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC), is hosting a vaccination clinic at the North Andover High School on March 4th from 2:30pm-5:30pm. This clinic will replace the one scheduled for 2/25 which was cancelled due to a snowstorm.

The clinic will provide first and second doses for ages 5 and up, and also booster shots for ages 12 and up. Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will all be available.

New COVID-19 Pandemic Response Small Business Grant Programs / Nuevas programas de subvenciones para pequeños negocios en respuesta a la pandemia COVID-19

Applications now being accepted for two new grant programs for Massachusetts small businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has made $75 million available to support small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds will be administered through two different grant programs, the New Applicant Grant Program and the Inclusive Grant Program, made available through Massachusetts Capital Growth Corporation.
The $75 million will be focused on small businesses that employ between two and 50 people and that have annual revenues between $40,000 to $2,500,000 based on 2020 Federal Business Tax Returns. $25 million will be directed toward businesses that did not qualify for previous MGCC grants because of a lack of revenue loss in 2020 (New Applicant Grant Program); and $50 million will be directed to businesses that reach underserved markets and historically underrepresented groups, or are minority-, women-, or veteran-owned businesses, or are owned by individuals with disabilities or who identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community (Inclusive Grant Program).
Under both programs, grants will range from $10,000 to $75,000, and will be capped at the lesser of $75,000 or three months of operating expenses. Grant funding can be used for employee and benefit costs, mortgage interest, rent, utilities, interest on debt, and costs to pivot the company due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
