Please see the attached flyer for this year’s Community Baby Shower –  please share with the women Veterans and current women service members in your communities and organizations.
Important:
This event is specifically for women who have served or are currently serving. Spouses/partners are not eligible for this particular event.

Who Is Eligible
  • Women in MA, CT, or RI who are currently serving (any drill status, any component)
  • Women Veterans who are currently pregnant or who delivered on or after March 2025

Food Drive, November 29, 2025 and Food Resource Information

Take and Leave Food Bins

There are 4 Take and Leave Food Bin locations in town, none of which require registration or interaction with staff. The Police Department is open 24hrs, Senior Center has a tote outside on the bench by the front door, Town Hall has shelves to the left in the front lobby, and Historical Society by the common has a tote outside the front door.

The most needs items are:

Canned Soups
Oatmeal
Baking or Cooking Mixes that only require water
Microwavable Soup or Potatoes
Mac and Cheese with Cheese Sauce
Pasta and Sauce
Canned meat
Peanut butter
Jelly
Feminine Hygiene Products

Trash Update: 11/26/25

Due to a burner being down at WinWaste / Wheelabrator, trash collection will be delayed.  Please keep trash barrels curbside for recovery.  Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving.

Reminder: Town Buildings Holiday Hours – November 26-28, 2025

Town Buildings and Non-Essential Town Offices, including Stevens Memorial Library, will be closing at Noon on Wednesday, November 26 and will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28.


Stevens Memorial Library will be open 10am – 5pm on Saturday, November 29 and 1pm – 5pm on Sunday, November 30.
