This is a message from the Town of North Andover. Thank you for your patience and diligence as the North Andover Fire Department, working with our state and local partners, continues to address brush fire activity in the Sharpner’s Pond area. Excessive smoke still exists in Town. If you see flames near your home please call 911. We continue to ask residents and hikers to avoid the area, and a fire ban still exists in North Andover, including a ban on fire pits. Thank you for your cooperation during this time, and thank you to the North Andover Fire Department for its commitment to our community.

This is a message from the Town of North Andover. The North Andover Fire Department, along with our mutual aid and state partners, have spent the day battling a brushfire near Sharpner’s Pond Road. Operations will continue into next week, and residents should expect extensive smoke in that area. We are asking hikers and walkers to avoid the area. If you see flames near your home please call 911. As a reminder there is a fire ban in town including fire pits. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is declared when dangerous conditions for fire activity exist including dry weather paired with high winds. Chief John Weir has issued a ban on all open fires including fire pits. We appreciate your cooperation with this ban.
