– North Andover Community Preservation Committee PUBLIC MEETING, November 14th at 7:00PM
The North Andover Community Preservation Committee will be holding a PUBLIC MEETING on Thursday November 14th, at 7:00PM in the Select Board Meeting Room.

Each year at Town Meeting, the CPC makes recommendations to fund projects in the following categories:

        •  Affordable Housing
        •  Historic Preservation
        •  Preservation of Open Space
        •  Recreation

Over the last 20+ years, North Andover taxpayers have funded more than $40 Million in projects throughout the community, including more than $12 Million in State Matching Funds.

The North Andover Community Preservation Committee will be hosting a public meeting on Thursday, November 14th at 7 p.m. in the Select Board Meeting Room at Town Hall for residents to share project ideas as well as your thoughts on public needs, opportunities, and how Community Preservation Act funds should be invested. Your ideas and feedback on these topics can greatly help to guide investment in high priority community resources.

Funding for Community Preservation Committee projects is provided through a local tax surcharge and matching funds from the state. The public, Town government, and local organizations help determine how this funding is spent by proposing local projects that help to preserve community heritage, protect local resources, and foster the development of new resources. Each year the North Andover Community Preservation Committee offers funding for projects related to open space, historic preservation, recreation, and affordable housing. The Committee makes recommendations to Town Meeting, which votes on the funding. Watch this presentation from the Committee to learn more about the investments in local resources that have been made with Community Preservation Act funds over the past 20+ years.

If you are interested in applying for funding, please verify that your proposed project is eligible. Learn more about project eligibility criteria here.

Find grant applications and more information on the funding process at the Community Preservation Committee web page. Please feel free to reach out with questions to the Committee at cpcemails@northandoverma.gov

– Curbside Fall Leaf Collection
To assist residents with fall clean-ups, the Town will be collecting leaf bags during the weeks of October 28th, November 4th, 11th & 18th & December 2nd.  (Please note, there will be no leaf collection the week of Thanksgiving). The collection contractor will take leaves placed out in biodegradable bags during these weeks.

    • Please have all bagged leaves (leaves only please) curbside at the beginning of those weeks as collection does not follow the trash/recycle schedule.
    • Leaves must be IN biodegradable paper bags ONLY.

If you have a 2024 Cyr Sticker for your vehicle, the CYR Center on Sharpners Pond Rd remains open for dropping off yard waste during regular site hours:  8am to 2:45pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays ONLY (EXCEPT Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov 28, 2024).

Call the DPW with questions 978-685-0950, option 2.
