The North Andover Community Preservation Committee will be holding a PUBLIC MEETING on Thursday November 14th, at 7:00PM in the Select Board Meeting Room.
Each year at Town Meeting, the CPC makes recommendations to fund projects in the following categories:
- Affordable Housing
- Historic Preservation
- Preservation of Open Space
- Recreation
Over the last 20+ years, North Andover taxpayers have funded more than $40 Million in projects throughout the community, including more than $12 Million in State Matching Funds.
The North Andover Community Preservation Committee will be hosting a public meeting on Thursday, November 14th at 7 p.m. in the Select Board Meeting Room at Town Hall for residents to share project ideas as well as your thoughts on public needs, opportunities, and how Community Preservation Act funds should be invested. Your ideas and feedback on these topics can greatly help to guide investment in high priority community resources.
Funding for Community Preservation Committee projects is provided through a local tax surcharge and matching funds from the state. The public, Town government, and local organizations help determine how this funding is spent by proposing local projects that help to preserve community heritage, protect local resources, and foster the development of new resources. Each year the North Andover Community Preservation Committee offers funding for projects related to open space, historic preservation, recreation, and affordable housing. The Committee makes recommendations to Town Meeting, which votes on the funding. Watch this presentation from the Committee to learn more about the investments in local resources that have been made with Community Preservation Act funds over the past 20+ years.
If you are interested in applying for funding, please verify that your proposed project is eligible. Learn more about project eligibility criteria here.
Find grant applications and more information on the funding process at the Community Preservation Committee web page. Please feel free to reach out with questions to the Committee at cpcemails@northandoverma.gov.
