Annual Road Paving Update

As part of the annual roads repaving program, the following work is proposed to start tomorrow, May 30, 2024:

 

Thursday, May 30th: Milling @:

·  High St from Chadwick St to Water St

·  Johnson St from Salem St to Johnson Cir

Friday, May 31st: Milling @:

·  Heath Rd from Milk St to Sutton Hill Rd

·  Heath Cir from Heath Rd to Cul-De-Sac

·  Rosemont Dr from Ridge Way to Cul-de-sac

Starting Monday, June 3rd

·  Casting adjustments on all streets identified above.


With this construction work, raised castings and traffic delays should be expected. Paving of the roadways will follow and is anticipated to start June 6, 2024, weather permitting. If you have any questions, a representative from the town will be on site during construction.

 

We appreciate your understanding during construction. Residents should expect delays if travelling in these areas. For any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the engineering department.

This is a friendly reminder about the upcoming Department of Public Utilities Road Show event tonight. The Road Show will offer an invaluable opportunity for the public to directly engage with DPU and its Commission.

Time: 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. 

Location: 98 Washington Street, Salem, MA 01970 

Format: In-person

Please note tonight’s Road Show will be held at Salem City Hall Annex and not at City Hall. The City Hall Annex is on the other side of the street from City Hall.
