Reminder: The deadline to submit an application for Community Preservation Committee projects is Friday, February 2nd.

The deadline to submit an application for Community Preservation Committee projects is Friday, February 2nd.

Each year at Town Meeting, the CPC makes recommendations to fund projects in the following categories:

 ●  Affordable Housing

 ●  Historic Preservation

 ●  Preservation of Open Space

 ●  Recreation

Over the last 20+ years, North Andover taxpayers have funded more than $40 Million in projects throughout the community, including more than $12 Million in State Matching Funds.

Funding for Community Preservation Committee projects is provided through a local tax surcharge and matching funds from the state. The public, Town government, and local organizations help determine how this funding is spent by proposing local projects that help to preserve community heritage, protect local resources, and foster the development of new resources. Each year the North Andover Community Preservation Committee offers funding for projects related to open space, historic preservation, recreation, and affordable housing. The Committee makes recommendations to Town Meeting, which votes on the funding. Watch this presentation from the Committee to learn more about the investments in local resources that have been made with Community Preservation Act funds over the past 20+ years.

The Community Preservation Committee grant application packet can be accessed on the CPC website, or by clicking this link. Applications may be submitted to the Committee at cpcemails@northandoverma.gov. After the February 2nd deadline, each application will undergo a review process ahead of Town Meeting Day.

If you are interested in applying for funding, please verify that your proposed project is eligible. Learn more about project eligibility criteria here. For more information, visit the Community Preservation Committee web page, or direct questions to cpcemails@northandoverma.gov.
