A message from Town Manager, Melissa Murphy-Rodrigues:

Congratulations to the 2023 Employee of the Year John Borgesi.  

The North Andover Employee of the Year program was instituted in 2020 to recognize annually one employee for being a team player, exhibiting exceptional customer service, going above and beyond expectations in their work, conduct and dedication, and who embodies the true meaning of being a public servant.  Nominations are submitted by town employees, and the Town Manager selects the winner based on those nominations.

“Every year, I enjoy reading the different nominations we receive,” said Melissa Rodrigues, Town Manager. “This year in particular it was a very difficult decision to make, but the trials we have faced this year made one person in particular shine.”

Over the past year, the Town faced many challenges and John tackles those with a smile.  This year in particular, he has been a steady hand as we work through flooding, power outages, tree issues, and more.  He treats residents kindly, searching for answers, and is the true epitome of a public servant.  He has been helpful with projects like the carport and the Middle School addition and as the nominators stated “is always willing to help even if it’s not part of his job.”
