Public Meeting: MBTA Communities

The Town invites the public to join a discussion with the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) about new State-mandated regulations that require many cities and towns in eastern Massachusetts, including North Andover, to create a zoning district that allows as of right multi-family housing. As of right zoning requires proposed projects to be reviewed by the Planning Board under a plan review process, as opposed to a more discretionary special permit process.

MVPC will present information about these regulations and we will discuss how the Town can comply with this new statute as well as answer questions. Questions? Contact Jean Enright in the Planning Department: 978-688-9535.
