Public Safety Notice: Deer Hunting Season is Underway

Deer hunting season has officially begun in our area. You may notice informational signs posted at certain Town Open Space kiosks.

Please do not tamper with or remove these signs. They are posted specifically to alert visitors and keep our community safe.

Trail Safety Tips for Visitors & Pets

• Wear Blaze Orange: If you or your pets are walking trails where hunting is permitted, wearing bright blaze orange (vests, hats, bandanas) is strongly advised.
• Keep Pets Leashed: As a reminder, pets must remain on a leash on Town Open Space trails at all times, year-round.

Deer Hunting Seasons & Dates

• Archery: Oct. 5 – Nov. 28, 2026
• Shotgun: Nov. 30 – Dec. 12, 2026
• Primitive Firearms: Dec. 14 – Dec. 31, 2026
• Winter Season (Zones 9, 10, 11): Jan. 1 – Jan. 30, 2027
