Camp Corral | Free Summer Camp for Kids of Fallen, Ill, or Injured Service Members

Dear Community Partners –

 I wanted to share a little information about Camp Corral with you, in the hopes that you will share it with your members. Camp Corral offers a free summer camp experience to children ages 8-15 with parents who have served and are wounded, ill, or fallen as a result of their military service. Campers who attend Camp Corral spend their days building friendships, learning new skills, and connecting with other campers who share their experiences as children of military families.

While Camp Corral offers programs around the United States, Camp Corral at YMCA Camp Gorham is the only camp to offer this program in New York state. We have proudly partnered with Camp Corral for many years, and this year we hope to bring 210 campers to camp during the week of June 28 through July 3, 2026. Camp Gorham is uniquely situated in the Adirondack Mountains of New York state, and our campers enjoy our 1,500 acre campus and private lake. The week is filled with games, songs, cheers, and fun. Campers favorite activities include horseback riding, waterskiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, boating, archery, and arts and crafts.

Applications for this program opened on Wednesday, January 14 at 12 noon. I am respectfully requesting that you share this information with any of your members, community partners, or friends who might be eligible.
