As we ready for Town Meeting on May 16, 2023, the Town will be presenting information every day on different warrant articles.

Article 15 and Article 16: Citizen Petition- An Act to Amend the Town By Laws – Annual Town Meeting and Citizen Petition – Petition General Court – An Act to Amend the Town Charter – Town Meeting Procedures

These articles are citizen petitions regarding the date and time of Town Meeting.  The first article would require the Select Board to hold any postponed Town Meeting on a Saturday morning or any weekday evening Monday through Thursday at 7 PM.  Currently the language only allows for weekday evenings.

The second article requires that the Select Board hold Town Meeting in the month of June rather than in May when it is currently held.
