Public Listening Session: North Andover HMP/MVP Plan

The Town of North Andover invites the public to participate in a listening session about the Town's efforts with respect to Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) and Hazard Mitigation Planning, which will take place on Monday, April 5th at 5pm.

Background: The Town in 2020 received a planning assistance grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EOEEA), through the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Grant Program.  The MVP program provides support for cities and towns in Massachusetts to begin the process of planning for climate change resiliency and implementing priority projects.

The Town of North Andover partnered with The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission to facilitate this project and provide the latest, most critical research and data that will help inform the decision-making process.

Key stakeholders have participated in Community Resilience Building workshops, which has resulted in the development of a climate change vulnerability assessment.

The public is invited to participate in this listening session to learn more about the findings from the workshops and to provide input on the draft plan.

Upon successful registration, you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to a Zoom meeting, which will be accessible on April 5th at 5pm.  We look forward to your participation.
